XIV Golf Marbella Amateur Open


	For the fourteenth year, from the 6th to the 9th of December, will take place the only 4 days tournament that an amateur player may play, as a pro. For this fourteenth edition we have selected 4 magnificent courses that have allready hosted previously the Marbella Amateur Open. They are Los Olivos at Mijas Golf, Los Lagos at Mijas Golf, Paraiso Golf and Flamingos Golf (Villa Padierna). For this edition, the MARBELLA AMATEUR OPEN continues with the charity character started in 2013 edition, continuing with the campaign NO CHILD WITHOUT A TOY. Part of the registration fee will be used to buy toys that will be distributed within children from families with no resources. Those players that wish to do so, may bring toys for this campaign. If possible educational toys that make the children develop their skills. Play in December a unique tournament with an average temperature of 19ºC.

INFORMATION

Dates: 6th to 9th December 2019.

Playing days: 4 days, as a professional tournament. No cut.

Players stay: arrival Thursday 5nd, departure Monday 9th.

Maximum number of players: 100 players.

Format: Individual Stableford.

Entry: OPEN – open to any amateur federated placer with handicap, no resctriction. For players with a non Spanish license, a handicap certificate is necessary.

Courses: Los Olovos at Mijas Golf, Los Lagos at Golf, Paraiso Golf and Flamingos Golf.

Results: The sum of the four days, daily classification information provided at the end of each day.

Rotation: Players rotate over the four courses, playing a different course each day.

Order of Play: Shotgun start. This may be changed to teeing off in turns depending on the players entered in each rotation.

Play: On the first two days, groups will be made up based on order of handicap but two players that want to play together may do so. On the third and fourth days, groups will be made up based on order of classification.

Categories: There are 3 gentelmen categories, 2 absolut and 1 senior (over 60 years) and 1 ladies category. The number of categories may change according to number of players and their handicap. There will also be two scratch categories for gentelmen and also for ladies.
